WELCOME TO THE WEBPAGES OF THE ECPR STANDING GROUP ON SECURITY ISSUES

The group was founded in September 2004 by Fiona B. Adamson, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and Stefan Wolff, University of Nottingham. The group's founding members and those who joined it subsequently, believe that it is important that ECPR take account of a range of new developments in the area of international security since 9/11 and examine security as a multi-facetted issue. The Standing Group was therefore established as a forum in which scholars and practitioners interested in a broad range of security issues—including, but not limited to interstate conflict and cooperation—have an opportunity to enter into an intellectually challenging and productive dialogue across disciplinary boundaries and methodological approaches.
