Olexander Litvinenko
Colonel Prof. Dr. Olexander Litvinenko is Head of National Security
Department, Council of National Security and Defense of Ukraine
Staff and professor at Institute of International Relations, Taras
Shevchenko National University. He graduated from Institute of
Cryptology, Telecommunication and IT, Academy of Federal Service
of Counterintelligence of the Russian Federation, Moscow in 1994
with MA degree in Applied Mathematics. He holds Ph.D. in Political
Sciences (Taras Shevchenko National University, Ukraine, 1998)
and Doctor of Sciences Degree (Habilitation) from National Institute
for Strategic Studies, Ukraine. Since 2002 he has been occupying
positions of Deputy Director of National Institute for Strategic
Studies, Head of the Directorate of State Security, Council of
National Security and Defense of Ukraine and Head of Expert Commission,
CNSD of Ukraine. His research interests: institutes of intelligence
service, security sector reforms, in particular, intelligence
service reforms. Dr. Olexander Litvinenko has published 65 articles
and 11 books and teaches courses “Foreign Policy”
and “Fundamentals of National and International Security”.
