Marian
Zulean
Dr
Marin Zulean
holds a PhD in
Military Sociology from University of Bucharest, an MA in International
Affairs, University of Pittsburgh and was a postdoctoral Fulbright
Scholar at the University of Maryland's Department of Sociology.
He has an extensive experience as a public servant. Until recently
he was an adviser with the National Security Department, Office
of the Romanian President (where he contributed to drafting
National Security Strategy). As an academic he teaches Policy
Analysis, International Security and Civil-Military Relations.

He

His main fields of interests are military sociology, civil-military
relations, security sector reform, NATO transformation, international
affairs (international security institutions and regimes) and
global public policies. Between 2005/2008 he attended Regional
Seminar for Excellence in Teaching on South Eastern Europe and
the new Euro-Atlantic System of Security.
